2015 APA Indiana Chapter Elections
Interested in serving your fellow APA Indiana Chapter planners in a new way? Nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 APA Indiana Chapter elections. There are six positions to be elected during this cycle:
- Professional Development Officer (PDO)
- North Region Representative
- Central Region Representative
- South Region Representative
- Citizen Planner
The Indiana Chapter is part of the consolidated elections process of the American Planning Association. All nominations and voting will take place electronically via the web-based system provided by APA. Nominations must be made at the following link: www.planning.org/elections. Login using your APA username and password and follow the instructions provided. In addition, please confirm that you’ve made your nomination by emailing Josh Desmond, APA Indiana Chapter President-Elect, at email@example.com.
The APA Consolidated election schedule is as follows:
- June 4 – Nominations due via website
- July 15 – Nominations made public
- August 6 – Ballots available online
- September 10 – Voting ends
- September/October – Election results announced
- January 1, 2016 – Newly elected leaders take office
In addition to the positions listed above, the Indiana Chapter also has an opening for the Planning Officials Development Officer (PODO) due to a recent resignation. A special election, separate from the APA Consolidated Election, will be held to fill the remainder of the term of office (through December 31, 2016). Please contact Josh Desmond as noted above to indicate your interest in this position by June 4.
